Winners! - Week #4

Here is a little refresher about our lovely guest judge, Ashley Sisk. If you don't already know Ashley, here is a little bit more about her:

My name is Ashley Sisk. I live in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina. I married my best friend on October 17, 2009. We don't have any children...yet, but we do have a cat named Kitty Paw who has been known to take over my blog from time to time.I've always loved art and photography, so shortly after our wedding, I bought my first DSLR and started this blog. As a result of blogging, I re-discovered my creative spirit, enhanced my photography and editing skills and made some incredible friends. I'm passionate about my faith, my love affair with photography, building community and sharing what I know.

And here is what she had to say about her winners:

Third Winner
Evolve with Melissa- This is probably the closest aligned to my own editing and I really like the vintage feel she gave it.

Second Winner
Christine Marks -I love the addition of the quote. I think it finishes off this photo really nice.

First Winner
WyTography- I really love that she kept this image nice and clean. It's something that I think my client would have really loved too.

Congratulations to our Winners! Be sure to grab your winner buttons.

Winners! - Week #3

Our guest judge this week. Marilyn from The ArtsyGirl Connection (you can find her on Twitter and Pinterest as well!)

And here is what she had to say about her winners:

This challenge was really FUN and it was interesting to see all the wonderful and creative editing tool's utilized to re-produce such amazing edits. It was really had to pick just three. Everyone had a really interesting and creative point of view that I enjoyed..

Third Winner
Heather via A day in the life of a SAHM ... I love the new photo Heather edited. It looks almost as if the boat is sitting in a patch of the river that'a almost dried up to the bottom left. It's beautiful, the tones are pretty and I love her HDR effects.. Lovely edit..

Second Winner
Melania via Happy Jax ... I liked Mel's creative point of view in altering the side of the photo where the boat was to the other, I like the intensity in her color's, the photo is alive and feels almost as if it was taken freshly today. The water clarity and reflections is very pretty as well.. Beautiful edit..

First Winner
Sarah via The Stiles Files .. I loved so much about her edit. The new feel to it is classic. It's something I could see out of a book. I loved that she cropped out all the distractions and focused in on the boat. Her tones and color's are beautiful.. The scenic view is even much more amazing..
Congratulations to our Winners! Be sure to grab your winner buttons.

I had a really hard time picking a top three and a winner.   The edits were wonderful, creative, and so well done!

The Stiles Files  I loved this edit.  I love the creativity and the crop.  I love the processing and the soft feel.  He just looks so peaceful.

AJ kreations - Such a wonderful edit.  I love the crop and the processing.  I love the soft hazy feel.  I also love that she kept looking natural and not overly smoothed.

Crown of Life Photography -  I love this edit!  She gave my bear his hand back!  Love that.  Love the creamy skin too.  She is my overall winner. Love how she fixed my mistake in post processing!  I didn't think of doing that!  Great job!

Winners! - Week #1

If you missed it here is a little bit about me. I am very happy to be the judge this week and the new co-host of this lovely challenge. I have always enjoyed participating and I can not wait to see all your entries this year.

Hello, I'm Sarah! Married to my high school sweetheart.Mom to a wild almost 4 year old, named Dustyn, and a lovable, sweet 20 month old, named Carsyn who has MIH HPE and Cerebral Palsy. You can find me hanging around twitter, pinning my next project, and sharing my crazy life with two boys and tips for photography on my blog. If you ever have any questions you can always email me.

I had such a fun time seeing all or your edit interpretations of my photo. I also enjoyed meeting some new people. It is always great finding new friend and learning some editing tricks. If you want to see my edit head over to my blog

And here is what I had to say about the winners:

Pam from Kassie's Beach- I loved how she added the contrast but still kept the details of Dudley's face.

Anne from Hot Coffee Mama - I absolutely love that she did it sepia tone. I think it adds so much to the photo and works well with haze and the darkness of Dudley.

Melanie from A Polka Dots Personality - I just kept going back to this photo. Normally I would have liked a warmer tone photo but I think this cool tone works well with the cool weather. I really love how clear and bright she made Dustyn's face. I also love how blue the sky is. This is my overall favorite.

Congratulations to our Winners! Be sure to grab your winner buttons.
